This is Part II of my new segment of exclusive interviews. I'm not sure that any of you can really grasp the hilarity of these things. Maybe it's one of those "You had to be there at 2 in the morning" things. This week's guest was Merrit Denison, the one and only. She was a great gal to meet with. Very down-to-earth. Check out the interview below:
Brooke: Tell us about your work with the National Underwater Underwear Preservation Corps.
Merrit: Well, its come to our attention recently that underwater underwear preservation has really taken a hit from the economy crisis. We’ve been working to build up awareness.
Through what means?
Mostly a lot of sending messages through morse code to neighbors across the hall...through the wall...
Do you use a lot of echolocation?
Not really
I hear you’re thinking about getting into politics. Is that correct?
Yeah, um, I really just want to get more clothes.... I’d like to build up my wardrobe, so I’m following the example of Palin. You know, my buddy Sarah! Mostly I’m in it for the wardrobe.
What position are you thinking of running for?
School board executive, definitely. I love the children.
Would you name a few of your influences in your career ventures?
There are so many. Its hard to narrow it down. I definitely have to go with the olympic Slovakian synchronized swimming team. They’re just a great bunch of gals. The rest [of my influences] don’t want to be named.
Paper or Plastic?
Hmmm... Depends on what we’re talking about.
Grocery bags
Plastic I’d say.
Will you tell us about your work with HPABA?
Oh, well, I am a BIG fan. I’ve come up with some new methods for working with HPABA. I don’t want to disclose too much information because it is quite confidential and in the beginning stages at this time.
Are you just amazed at how far you’ve come since becoming National Pac-Man Champion?
You know, I am actually. It’s been great. The fans have been great. A lot of opportunities have come from it. I definitely attribute all of my success to Pac-Man.
Ok, now it's time for Word Association. I'll say a word and you say the first thing that comes to mind.
