My $0.02

First off, I'd like to welcome you to my shiny, new blog. Yay.

Now that the formalities are out of the way, I'd like to introduce my new summer hobby of choice: golf. My sister and I decided that we were going to learn how to golf this summer, so a couple of weeks ago I took matters into my own hands. I hit up Mulligans for a nice afternoon on the Par 3 course. I must admit, I wasn't as awful as I thought I would be. Things did get a little rugged on the last hole, though (7 golf balls now reside in the lake, courtesy of yours truly). I decided to pick it up as my newest hobby- partly because it was pretty fun, partly because I couldn't stand being that terrible at a sport (competitiveness is a trait I inherited from my mother).

Fast forward a couple of weeks: I had my first ever golf lesson this morning. My instructor must be pretty amazing, because I was hitting most of the balls straight by the end of the day. Look out Water Hazard of Doom, my golf balls will be staying well out of your depths!
